New resort in Svaneti

The longest - 9,5 km track in Transcaucasia with the steepest, 1,7 km ski slope fall line, skiers' dream - this is just small a part of Tetnuldi ski resort profile. Our company is building this resort on command of "Tetnuldi Development" which means that we are contributing to  the development of tourism potential in Georgia.

Before we tell the detailed story of tourism potential of Tetntuldi, we should note that it is planned to connect this ski-resort to five villages of Mulakhi settlement via covered gondola lifts. These villages are: Cholashi, Chvabiani, Madjvdieri, Tsaldashi, Zhabeshi. For these villages this connection means an opportunity to establish as tourism destinations, develop their catering and hotel infrastructure, therefore get stable source of income and a good prospect of growth.

This is a truly wonderful opportunity for all - residents of Mulakhi settlement, individuals and businesses interested in winter tourism because ski season lasts for 6-7 months in Tetnuldi. According to current estimations, Tetnuldi ski track will accommodate 4100 skiers and offer cable cars' hourly capacity of 8400 people.

Tetnuldi is a unique winter resort, active during all four seasons of the year. The resort enables vacationers to enjoy climbing, water-rafting, horse riding, paragliding, skiing, snowboarding and mountaineering. The resort territory is 7000 hectares out of which skiing area occupies 4500 hectares.

We started constructions in Summer 2014. As you know, climate is harsh in Svaneti. Starting from late Autumn throughout whole Winter, weather and climate is unfavorable for any construction works. However, in our case, all is going according to the plan. Tree felling works are already completed; most ski tracks and ground works are finished. An electric sub-station, water supply building and water reservoirs are being built.

At first stage, 5 ski lift stations with total length of 5.9 km, 18 ski slopes with total length of 25 km, water supply and sewage system, electricity, mountain drainage systems, infrastructure facilities, administration buildings, parking lots and other necessary facilities will be constructed.

At the moment 140 people are working on constructions of the resort. If the weather stays favorable enough to allow building, Tetnuldi will host its first visitors in December.
