River Sulori has been Returned to its Natural River-bed

As a result of the liquidation works undertaken to tackle the aftermath of flooding in Vani Municipality, river Sulori has been returned to its natural river-bed.

Commissioned by the Roads Department under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, "State Construction Company", Ltd. is implementing civil works in Vani.

In July, 2016, due to the three-days-long incessant rain, the river Sulori overflowed, washed away the bridge in the village of Sulori, flooded the yards of the local settlers and damaged the 12th km of the motor road connecting Vani to Sulori, which resulted in prohibiting vehicle movement on this section of the road.

The liquidation works to mend the damages caused by flooding is currently under way in Vani. At the moment, "State Construction Company", Ltd. is working to restore the damaged section of the road.
