Motor Road in Dariali will be Opened Today

At 17:00, today, a temporary motor road will be opened in Dariali. Opening this road was made possible as a result of 24-hour of continuous labour on behalf of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and the "State Construction Company", Ltd.

As soon as the road opens, all types of vehicles will be allowed to travel on the road under the terms of special regime. The movement of vehicles will be supervised by the Patrol Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The road reconstruction civil works are being supervised in person by Giorgi Seturidze, chairman of the Roads Department of Georgia.

On the 23rd of June, vehicle movement on the km134-km135 section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi international motor road was interrupted, when as a result of heavy and incessant rain, large amount of mud-slide descended from Devdoraki ravine and resulted in throwing the river Terek out of its natural river-bed, effectively damaging an 800-meter-long section of the road.
