First Ever Match was held on the New Stadium of Tskaltubo

A two-star auxiliary artificial turf stadium of FIFA standards in Tskaltubo was opened today by hosting a match between Tskaltubo "Samgurali" and Rustavi "Metalurg".

Before the kick-off, the new stadium was surveyed by Eka Sepashvili, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Tariel Khechikashvili, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Konstantine Mamiseishvili, Gamgebeli of Tskaltubo Municipality, Irakli Kuprava, Deputy Director of "State Construction Company", Ltd. under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Paata Akhaladze, Chairman of Tskaltubo Municipality Council.

The new stadium in Tskaltubo, covering an area of 7,280 square meters was financed through central and municipal budgets. The stadium was built by the "State Construction Company", Ltd. under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.

A complete artificial turf has been arranged on the stadium, locker rooms have been constructed, water pipes have been installed and additional buildings constructed. A parking lot with a total area of 6,500 square meters has been arranged near the stadium and lamp posts have been installed.

Another modern structure has been added to Tskaltubo area in the face of this new auxiliary artificial turf stadium of FIFA standards. The stadium is convenient both for practicing as well as for hosting inner championship matches. Additionally, it will contribute to increasing interest towards sport in the local populace.

Construction of the stadium commenced in December, 2014 and was completed in the scheduled period with high quality. Total value of the project amounted to GEL 2 million. There were 34 people employed at the site.
