A new arena construction is underway in Tskaltubo

"State Construction Company" Ltd of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is conducting construction works of a new sports arena in Tskaltubo. The First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Giorgi Amashukeli together with the Deputy Director of "State Construction Company" Ltd, Irakli Kuprava observed the progress of construction works at the initial stage. 

The arena project includes covering of 7280 square meters by artificial turf and arrangement of a parking space, as well as installation of lighting poles on 7960 square meters.

Wetland drainage and cleansing from the remnants of the old arena were completed on the site; fencing was conducted and currently, land works are underway.

The new arena will be constructed in place of the old one. As a result, overall infrastructure of the city will improve and sport development will be supported in Tskaltubo.

The construction of the arena in Tskaltubo launched in December 2014 and is planned to end in 2015.

The project is financed from state budget and costs 2 mln GEL. Currently, 50 workers are employed on the construction.
