State Construction Ltd of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is conducting cleansing works of landslide ridden Akhaldaba road. Two sections blocked by the landslide have already been opened.

At the moment, company equipment and its staff are mobilized on third section of the road, blocked  by the largest volume of landslide. As a result of evaluation, clearing of this particular section will take relatively long while.

Akhaldaba road blockage was caused by landslide mass of approximately 500000 cubic meter magnitude which fell on Tskneti-Betania connection road on June 13-14.
