Access road to Akhaldaba village has been restored

Out of 5 landslide ridden sections of Tskneti-Akhaldaba road, 4 has been cleared. Water and sewerage network to the first settler of the village has been recovered. Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Nodar Javakhishvili attended the road opening.

Recovery works of the 5-th section (which is in the village) are currently underway and will be completed if weather conditions do not change. The recovery works are being conducted by State Construction Company Ltd.

Tskneti-Akhaldaba road section was blocked as a result of a landslide which occurred on Tskneti-Betania road and isolated the village on June 13-14. To let the river and rush water flow freely, 3 culverts were installed upon which a motorway was made.

At this stage, off-road vehicles are able to move and supply village residents with drinking water and food.
