COASTAL PROTECTION WORKS IN SARPI ARE ONGOING SUCCESSFULLY
Rehabilitation of a 110-meter-long overpass has already been completed, the 932-meter-long rocky part, from which boulders had been falling frequently, has been covered with a stonefall preventive net. As of the completion of the remaining two projects, the highway will be widened 5 meters towards the sea; the total coastline area will be increased; a 7.71-meter-high stone armour is being constructed on the shore, which is supposed to protect the area during storm.
